In June 2010, Steed and Evans Limited volunteered with the Region of Waterloo’s ADOPT-A-ROAD PROGRAM to enhance local litter pick-up along Regional road right-of-ways. It is our way as an environmentally conscious private business and member of the community to contribute to a cleaner and more beautiful Regional road system. We are volunteering in two areas, the First Area backs on to our newly constructed office in Heidelberg on Regional Rd 17, from Three Bridges to Kressler Rd. and the Second Area from Ament Line to Hergotts Rd.
On Saturday May 7th 2011 to honour Earth Day, SE had great support of their employees to volunteer their time to a worthy cause.
The weather was perfect, the sun shine was very pleasant and so was the temperature “just perfect”. The theme of Earth Day gave this spring’s litter pick-up that much more meaning. To Respect the Environment!
A amazing turn-out of 26 people, pick-up 40 bags of trash on our 2 areas of coverage.
